The latest advice is that most antibiotics can be administered outside the school day. For example, 3 times a day can be interpreted as one dose before school, one dose at the end of school and one dose before bedtime.
In special circumstances medicines prescribed by a doctor may be administered in school if a permission slip has been completed and explicit dosage instructions have been provided. All medicines must be handed to the school office for safe storage.
The school is not able to administer non-prescription medicines.
Children who have asthma should always have their blue inhalers with them.
