School starts at9.00am and finishes at3.20pm for junior pupils. (Total 31.66 hrs)
For infant pupils, school starts at9.00am and finishes at3.10pm(Total 30.83 hrs)
For infant pupils, morning break is normally from 10.15am until 10.30am and the lunch break is from 12.00pm until 1.00pm. There is also an afternoon break from 2.00pm until 2.15pm.
For junior pupils, morning break is from 10.30am until 10.45am and the lunch break is from 12.30pm until 1.30pm.
Children should arrive to school no earlier than 8.45am. All pupils, except EYFS, enter school via the school playground and go straight into the building when they arrive and get settled in the classroom. EYFS pupils walk down the left side path to their classroom.
Extension to school hours from September 2024
Hunstanton Primary School will be increasing our school hours in September, in line with the government requirement of 32.5 hours (6.5 hours per day). The school day will start at 8.45am until 3.15pm for Y1 – Y6 (with the gates opening from 8.30am.) Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage) hours will be 8.45am until 3.10pm.
